Board Games: Dungeons & Dragons
Board Games: Dungeons & Dragons
Synopsis:
The Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game is about storytelling in worlds of swords and sorcery. Like games of make-believe, D&D is driven by imagination. It’s about picturing a crumbling castle in a darkening forest and imagining how a fantasy adventurer might react to the challenges that scene presents.
In this fantasy world, the possibilities are limitless.
My Opinion – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dungeons & Dragons is one of the most successful Table Top RPG’s in history, and it is incredibly easy to see why! Each time you play it is guaranteed to be a completely unique experience that can never be replicated. I have mentioned multiple times that the game is only limited by your imagination, and that is true. But you are not the sole driving force of the game, you will be joined by other players and a Dungeon Master. It’s all these players and their imaginations that also move the story forward. With that much imagination, you are guaranteed to have fun.
D&D’s open-ended nature and structure means that you could use the same custom character for years on end, or simply create a new character for each campaign. This really gives power the player and allows them to create a fun and organic story.
While some of the in game systems may seem complicated to newer players, after a few minutes of play these systems are easily learned and the fun can begin! If these systems do continue to cause confusion then you can read my blog on how to play Dungeons and Dragons or watch the video above.
All in all, there is very little that one can say negatively about Dungeons & Dragons. If you can find yourself some passionate players and a good Dungeon Master then you are guaranteed to have fun!
