The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
Synopsis:
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is a prequel to the 1982 Jim Henson film The Dark Crystal that explores the world of Thra created for the original film. It follows the story of three Gelflings: Rian, Deet, and Brea, as they journey together on a quest to unite the Gelfling clans to rise against the tyrannical Skeksis and save their planet Thra from a destructive blight known as the Darkening.
My Opinion – ⭐⭐⭐⭐★
Being a massive fan of the original Dark Crystal movie I was ecstatic when a prequel series was announced! I don’t think words could describe my excitement! In fact, I got myself a Netflix account for the sole purpose of watching the series, and it was the very first Netflix property that I ever reviewed! Needless to say, this is not only one of my favorite Netflix properties, but one of the most important Netflix properties to me!
I honestly believe that DC:AOR is a brilliant example of how to create a sequel or prequel to an 80’s property in a successful manner.
